The Troubled Man nominated for Best Novel

The very last novel in the Wallander series, The Troubled Man, has been nominated for Best Novel in the 2012 Barry Awards. In 2009 another Swedish writer, Stieg Larsson, won the award for his novel The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Earlier winners of the Barry Award have been George Pelecanos, Dennis Lehane and Denise Mina.

Only two weeks after the release in the US, The Troubled Man is already on several top ten bestseller lists. The last novel about Wallander was #6 on the New York Times bestseller list, and #8 on Publisher’s Weekly.  It also became #1 on the SoCal Indie Bestseller list 4/3.

Henning Mankell signing books in New York

The very last novel about the pondering chief inspector Wallander was released in the US in the end of march. Henning Mankell will be touring the US between the 6th-11th of April, starting off in New York and finishing in San Fransisco.

The last novel about inspector Kurt Wallander, The Troubled Man, hit #2 of The Sunday Times Hardback Fiction Bestseller list the 3rd April. The Troubled Man was released in the UK in the end of march and has recieved a great reception from the critics as well as the English-speaking public.
